(2022. 8 Update) Taipei Chuan Mu Yuan restaurant is categorized as one of the Taipei price-friendly restaurants. It is one of the restaurants near Zhongshan MRT station.I t is also one of the Taipei Michelin Bib Gourmand Restaurants.

關於川畝園麵食館
About Chuan Mu Yuan Restaurant
川畝園麵食館離中山站五號出口大約 5 分鐘路程, 附近餐廳有 “赤峰街無名排骨飯” 與 “Solo Pizza”. 每逢用餐時間總是有許多上班族與住家人潮, 川畝園目前沒有外送服務. 餐廳門外牆上有菜單價格, 餐廳裡的牆上則是有熱炒價格, 最有趣的是 “請勿自帶酒”的公告. 座位並沒有像 “福大蒸餃館”有單人座位. 我來兩次, 都點了不一樣的菜餚. 我從我喜歡的開始寫.
Chuan Mu Yuan restaurant is about 5 minutes walking distance from Zhongshan MRT station Exit No. 5. The nearby restaurants include “Solo Pizza” and “Chifeng Pork Chop”. During dining time, the restaurant is always packed. They do not have delivery service. There is menu hanging outside of the restaurant. They also have a stir-fried dishes at the indoor wall as well. Unlike “Fu-Dai Steamed Dumpling restaurant”, there is no single seatings. I visited here twice and ordered different dishes. I would start from my favorite dish.

牛肉捲餅

小魚乾捲餅與牛肉捲餅皆是川畝園的必點菜餚, 從切面看, 非常地具有誠意捲了好幾圈, 微厚類似蔥油餅的餅皮有著酥脆口感, 有著些許麵香,關於網路提到捲餅是涼的這件事, 我用餐時間是剛開店, 所以我的捲餅其實是微溫. 牛腱肉並不會乾硬, 搭配蔥段的微辛香與甜麵醬的適量甜度, 整體不錯吃. 我個人會推薦點這一道牛肉捲餅.
Beef Roll and crispy dried fish roll are the must-order dishes at Chuan Mu Yuan Restaurant. The roll itself tastes like green onion pastry, which is thick with crispy texture. The beef tendon is not too hard to chew.The onion and sweet flavor from the sweet bean sauce balance well. The overall taste is pretty delicious. There are people online mentioned that the roll is cold. I was there while the restaurant just opened. So, my roll pastry is a bit warm. I would definitely recommend this beef roll.

酸辣湯 (小)
Hot and Sour Soup (Small)
Price: NTD $35

中碗酸辣湯是 NTD $60. 小碗的酸辣湯雖然比 “阿娥水餃”的酸辣湯多 NTD $10, 但是 Size 有大一些, 最大的差別應該是阿娥水餃的酸辣湯是搭配蔥, 川畝園的酸辣湯是搭配香菜, 整體來說湯的酸度高過於辣度, 料則是多樣化且足夠. 女生點一份牛肉捲餅搭配小碗酸辣湯大概就可以八分飽.
The medium size hot and sour soup price is NTD $60. Even though the small size price is charged NTD $10 more than “A-O dumpling”. But the bowl size is bigger. The most obvious difference would be “A-O dumpling” pairs green onion for their soup. But, Chuan Mu Yuan Restaurant pairs parsley with the soup. There are fair amount of ingredients in the soup as well.

麵體是刀削麵, 吃起來口感稍微Q彈, 可惜牛肉炒得似乎偏乾硬. 下次如果三訪, 應該會點小籠包與炒飯來試試.
The noodle is knife-shaved noodle with good texture. However, the beef is a bit hard to chew. If there is a third visit, I would order the soup dumpling or stir-fried rice.
小米粥

我從小吃朱記餡餅粥, 川畝園的小米粥偏稀釋, 我個人覺得表現平平. 當然如果你沒喝過小米粥, 倒是可以點一碗試試看.
I eat at famous Zhuji restaurant since I was little. The millet porridge at Taipei Chuan Mu Yuan restaurant tastes just average. If you never try millet porridge, you can order one for a trial taste.
