台北東區咖啡司康 》悄悄黑眼圈 Coffee and Scone | 珍珠糖司康

(已歇業) 位於台北市忠孝敦化捷運站的敦南誠品附近新開幕一家名為“悄悄黑眼圈”, 這是一家小坪數的咖啡與司康外帶店.

(Closed ) CIAO CIAO Scone & Coffee To-Go Shop, which is near Zhongxiao Duanhua MRT station, is located near Eslite Bookstore Duannan branch store.

 

多數台灣人對司康的印象還停留在KFC, 只有少部分年輕人知道Smith & Hsu是一家司康下午茶複合餐廳, “悄悄黑眼圈” 則是一家專注在賣咖啡與各種口味的司康專賣外帶吧, 並無販售輕食, 跟 HOOKED TO GO COFFEE較不一樣的是“悄悄黑眼圈”只有手沖咖啡,店面坪數小, 烘烤司康的速度較慢且數量有限.
Most Taiwanese still are under the impression about scone as a side dish at KFC. Some young generation might know “Smith & Hsu” is a scone, coffee and light food restaurant. But CIAO CIAO To-Go Shop only offers various coffee and scones. Unlike HOOKED TO GO COFFEE, CIAO CIAO only offers pour-over coffee. Also, due to the space, they have limited space to bake. You might need to wait a bit for your order.

珍珠糖司康

*由於我沒有在台灣吃過正統英國人做的司康, 無從比較, 只能單一敘述口感與風味. I didnt try any scone that made by British in Taiwan. Therefore, I couldn’t exactly know the traditional British scones taste like. I only describe CIAO CIAO’s scone . *

從外帶紙袋拿出熱騰騰的司康, 雖然只有手心大, 卻散發出濃郁的蛋香味和類似烘烤重蛋糕 (Pound Cake) 的迷人香味, 厚度的部分並沒有Smith & Hsu厚, 恐怕無法用傳統的吃法, 也就是對半切開再塗果醬. “悄悄黑眼圈”的司康有各種風味, 例如蔓越梅, 櫻桃酒巧克力..etc,所以也不需要用果醬增加風味.咬下第一口時, 司康外層口感就像法式焦糖布丁(Creme Brulee)上層焦糖一樣, 酥脆且帶有中度甜味, 紮實卻不乾澀如同蛋糕體, 一個不小心就整個司康都吃完了.
I pulled the hot “Scone with Sucre Grain Perlé” from the to-go bag. Even though the size is about the size of the palm, there are still egg aroma and baked pound cake aroma fulfilled the atmosphere. However, the scone is not as thick as the traditional scone, therefore, it would be difficult to cut in half and put on jam. CIAO CIAO shop offers various scone flavor, such as raspberry, chocolate…etc.The appearance of the scone tastes like creme brûlée, which also has the caramelized sugar. The crispy and sweetness would make you crave for more. The texture is dense but not dry, which it almost feels like you are eating cakes.

濃郁奶香覆蓋著原本的手沖咖啡應有的特點, 下次若再光臨, 應該會選淺焙黑咖啡來配司康.
The creamy milk covers the pour-over coffee’s unique flavor. If I visit next time, I would choose the Light Roast Black Coffee.
