About BAR Chu Taipei Minimum Charge and Other Rules
BAR 忠 Chu 酒吧離中山國小捷運站只有 5 ~ 10 分鐘路程, BAR 忠 酒吧的門並沒有像 “Bar PUN” 有機關, 也沒有像 “Bar Weekend” 有唯美的室內裝潢. 而是簡單地將新鮮水果擺設在吧台, 這裡有許多日本人到這裡來喝調酒解鄉愁之類. 這次住在 “六福居酒店公寓”, 決定一訪. BAR 忠 酒吧與其他台北日式酒吧一樣都有一些規定.
🔥 BAR 忠 Chu 不能訂位, 不接受2 人以上的團體
🔥 BAR 忠 Chu 低消 $800, 可刷卡. 不能只用餐, 這裡餐點單價平均是 NTD $350 +, 酒單價平均是 NTD $450+, 你不用喝到三杯調酒!
🔥 日籍 Bartender Kazy San 會講中文, 也有另一位 Bartender , 溝通不會有問題.

Bar Chu Taipei is only 5 ~ 10 minutes walking distance from Zhongshan Elementary School MRT Station. No worries, there isn’t any secret door like “Bar PUN”. And it doesn’t have pretty indoor design like “Bar Weekend”. There are only fresh fruits displaying on the bar counter. There are many Japanese that come to this bar to drink cocktail and chat with bartender. I lived at “Taipei Leofoo Residences” before, so, I decide to visit Bar Chu for the very first time. Just like other Taipei Japanese bars, Bar Chu Taipei has some rules to follow.
🔥 BAR Chu does not take reservation. And they don’t accept more than 2 people group.
🔥 BAR Chu minium charge is NTD $800, which can pay via credit card. You cannot only order foods. No worries, their food average price is above NTD $350. Cocktails average price is NTD $450 +. You don’t need to order three cocktails.
🔥 Bartender Kazy San can speak Mandarin, and there is always another bartender around. There won’t be any problem in communication.
🔥 The customers cannot take pictures on the menu.

新鮮水果調酒是 BAR 忠 Chu 的招牌調酒, 也是我來這家酒吧的理由之一. 因為季節不同, 水果也會不同. 每次水果調酒價格因爲水果重量會不一樣. 在吧台前看 Bartender Kazy San 專業地工作, 半個哈蜜瓜搭配軒尼詩 V.S.O.P., 整體不僅有視覺感, 酒味也不會過重, 就像是在吃微醺甜點般. 我個人很推薦這一杯新鮮水果調酒.
Fresh Fruit Cocktail is one of Bar Chu Taipei’s signature cocktail series. It is actually the main reason that I visit. Due to the season difference, the fruits might be different too. Every time the cocktail price would be differ due to the weight. Half honey dew pairs great with Hennessy V.S.O.P. The overall image is quite impressive. The alcohol aroma is not too strong neither. It is almost like that I am eating a tipsy dessert. I definitely recommend this fresh fruit cocktail.

由於每個人的喜好不同, 日籍 Bartender Kazy San 通常不會直接推薦調酒款, 對話後, 我就點了日本紫蘇 Gin & Tonic. Gin & Tonic 系列調酒應該是台灣人最愛的調酒系列, 除了有 “發琴吧 Ginspiration ”之外 , 2019 年甚至有大稻埕 Gin & Tonic Pa Taiwan活動. 日本紫蘇 Gin & Tonic有著些許海洋鹹味, 但卻不失清爽感覺. 我後來看到隔壁一組客人是點茶酒, 如果有二訪, 我應該會點茶酒系列.
Due to everyone’s cocktail preference, Bartender Kazy San usually don’t recommend cocktails to customer. I ordered Gin & Tonic with Shiso. Gin & Tonic is probably the most popular cocktail at Taiwan. Besides “Ginspiration”, we had “Gin & Tonic Pa Taiwan” event at Taiwan. The shiso offers the seafood flavor with small amount of saltiness to the tastebuds. But, the overall still takes refreshing. There is a customer that order Tea Cocktail. If there is a 2nd visit, I would definitely order a Tea Cocktail.

BAR 忠 Chu 酒吧與 “溫柔鄉” 一樣皆有出色的餐點, 這裡的營業時間是晚上七點開始, 但是規則是客人不能僅用餐. 很多餐廳不願意做這道炸櫛瓜, 因為櫛瓜本身很多水份. 有著酥脆的外表, 裡面也不會過於軟嫩, 搭配檸檬酪梨奶油醬很成功, 我個人蠻推薦, 也有人說蛋包飯和海膽義大利麵不錯.
Just like “The Tender Land”, Bar Chu has delicious foods. The operation hour starts at 7pm. But the bar rule stated that the customer cannot only order dishes. I don’t usually see fried zucchini at Taiwan restaurants. If the chef didn’t fry the zucchini well, there will be mushing and soft texture. But, the chef at Bar Chu definitely did a great job. The fried zucchini taste is crispy on the outside and great smooth texture at the inside. It also pairs great with the avocado Lemon Cream Sauce. I would also recommend this dish. Many others also mentioned that their Omurice and uni pasta dish are great too.
