關於雞家莊訂位與停車
About the Restaurant Reservation and Parking
雞家莊有兩家店, 我跟朋友去的雞家莊長春總店, 另一家在雞家莊六條店. 雞家莊長春店最靠近中山捷運站, 步行大約15分鐘, 在台北晶華酒店附近, 雞家莊與 “新東南餐廳“一樣有代客泊車, 附近停車場也不少 (如圖一). 雞家莊已有數十年歷史, 不少觀光客慕名而來, 餐廳內外的復古裝潢顯然成為特色之一. 餐廳一樓大部分是小家庭4人座位, 電梯可抵達二樓則是以大桌 (6 ~ 12人)為主, 非常適合家庭聚會餐廳, 雞家莊服務生與 “雅苑港式餐廳“ 服務生一樣皆是穿制服, 年紀偏大但非常有禮貌. 餐廳下午也有營業, 不用怕聊天聊到忘記時間. 入座後得知這裡並沒有茶資, 菜單則是洋洋灑灑好幾頁. 雞家莊訂位則是打電話 02-2581-5954.
There are two Chi Chia Chung Restaurants at Taipei. My friend and I went to Changchun Branch store. The other restaurant is also at Zhongshan District. Chi Chia Chung Restaurant is about 20 minutes walking distance from Zhongshan MRT station, which is near Taipei Regent Hotel. With 40 years operations, many foreign tourists consider here as must-eat local restaurant. First floor is mostly small family seats. The 2nd floor is mainly full of large tables (4 ~ 6 people). Same as “Ya Yuen Cantonese Restaurant”, most staffs are polite elders with suits. Chi Chia Chung Restaurant also operates in the afternoon. You will need to call 02-2581-5954 to reserve.

Three Taste Chicken

我們這一盤價格是 NTD $800, 適合4 ~ 6 人品嚐份量. 雞家莊招牌菜餚三味雞有白斬雞, 燻雞和烏骨雞, 採用是台灣本土品種雞, 而不是像 “Fireplay Taipei” 採用薩索雞. 視覺上有三種顏色帶有些許油光, 可搭配甜辣醬. 白斬雞嫩度與微甜令人滿意,可惜碎骨偏多. 另一款雞肉以煙燻帶給味蕾不同的感受, 我個人對煙燻肉品無法抵抗. 我一直以為烏骨雞都是拿來燉藥湯, 我本來以為吃起來會偏乾, 孰不知雞腿油脂讓烏骨雞肉增加嫩度, 值得一提的是店家酸菜絲非常下飯且美味. 網路上有人提到每天烏骨雞有限量, 常會賣完, 客人在訂位時可與店家溝通預留.
The dish in the picture is NTD $800, which is suitable for 4 ~ 6 people. This dish includes original flavor, smoky chicken, and black chicken (silky fowl). Unlike “Fireplay Taipei”, Chi Chia Chung Restaurant uses Taiwanese species chicken. The original flavor has hints of sweet, however, with lots of mini breaking bones. The black chicken is always considered old-fashioned Chinese medicine ingredient. Their black chicken’s taste is quite tender. I personally like the smoked chicken. The most surprisingly part would be the delicious pickled vegetable. Please note that black chicken has minimum quantity. You might want to reserve the dish while you reserve the seats.

雞家豆腐

店家端上這道料理時, 討喜公雞造型鍋蓋很有記憶點. 打開上蓋後, 深色醬汁會讓人誤認是重口味. 雞蛋豆腐很嫩, 品嚐豆腐時, 時不時會吃到雞丁.微濃郁醬汁吃起來有蠔油與少許麻油味道, 整體吃起來以鹹香為主導, 只有微辛香, 我個人會推薦這道雞家豆腐.
The appearance of this dish with lid is quite eye-catching. The tofu is extremely tender. While eating the tofu, you can also taste the mini diced chicken meats. The sauce seemed to be the mixed oyster soy sauce and sesame oil. The overall taste is salty aroma along with hints of spices. I would definitely recommend this dish.

蛤蜊雞湯

上次在餐廳喝雞湯是在 “雞窩餐廳“, 屬於濃稠雞湯型. 雞家莊的無雜質蛤蜊雞湯則是偏清爽型, 喝第一口時原本預期會像市面上蛤蜊雞湯以薑絲味為主導, 味蕾除了感受到微膠質與來自蛤蜊的海味. 這道雞湯比 “雙月食品社蛤蜊燉雞湯”和 “台北永康錄雞湯餐廳” 更美味. 我個人推薦四人即可點這一道湯品, 至於是不是有 Size 大小, 建議直接問店員.
Last time I tasted chicken broth is at “G-Woo Restaurant”, which is thick texture. However, in Chi Chia Chung Restaurant, Clam and Chicken Soup is categorized as refreshing texture. In Taiwanese cuisine, most clam and chicken soup flavor would be dominated by gingers. Surprisingly, this soup has hints of collagens from the chicken and seafood flavor from the clams. I personally think the soup is better than “SHUANG YUE FOOD” and “Taipei Yongkang Role Chicken Soup”. I would definitely recommend ordering this soup. I am not sure if there is any size difference. I would suggest you to ask the staff for more details.

菜脯蛋

雞家莊菜圃蛋有著完美厚度與無焦痕讓, 蛋裡的菜脯吃得出來並不是 “頤宮 Le Palais”的陳年老菜脯, 蛋香與蔥香是熟悉的古早味.很多人看到一道菜圃蛋價格 NTD $220 會覺得很貴, 我個人覺得不錯吃, 如果再訪, 我應該會堅持點這一道菜脯蛋.
Chi Chia Chuang Restaurant Egg with Turnip has perfect shape and no burn mark. The turnip filling is obvious not the aged turnip like at “Le Palais”. The eggy aroma and green aroma is a classic combination. People might think NTD $220 per dish is expensive. If visiting again, I would insist on ordering this dish though.

雞蛋布丁

當天我們有10人, 店家有免費招待這道雞蛋布丁. 古早味傳統布丁無可挑惕, 如果你們只有四人, 可能店家沒有招待, 我會建議點這道雞蛋布丁來當作用餐的結尾.
We have 10 people. So, the restaurant offers free Egg Pudding to us. The classic flan tastes great. If you only have 4 people, this might not be free. But, I would recommend this dish as the end of the dining experience.

雞飯

雞飯是雞家莊餐廳的招牌料理之一, 是以人來計算, 聽說可續. 我本來以為雞飯與豬油淋飯原理一樣- 雞油淋好淋滿, 吃飯時才知道原來是用雞湯煮飯, 也算是一大特色, 雞飯並沒有太多明顯風味, 可惜白飯偏乾. 我會建議兩人分一碗雞飯.
This dish is one of the restaurant’s signature dishes. The price NTD $50 is based on per person. Instead of chicken fats spreading all over the rice, the rice in fact is cooked with chicken broth. The rice doesn’t have too much flavor. Sadly, the rice is quite dry. I would suggest two people share this rice.
沙茶豬心
Pig’s Heart with BBQ Sauce

我上次吃豬心是在 “ULV Restaurant & Bar”, 炒沙茶豬心份量大概夠四到五人吃吧, 沙茶風味會讓食慾大開, 非常下飯, 而且不會有吃豬心的感覺, 也可以點給外國人吃看看.
Last time I tasted Pig’s Heart was at “ULV Restaurant & Bar”. This dish’s quantity is suitable for 4 ~ 5 people. The BBQ Sauce would increase the appetite. You wouldn’t have the feeling of eating pig’s heart. You can order this dish for your foreign friend.

木耳水血
Chicken’s Blood Cake with Black Fungus

這一道端上桌時, 原本以為是鴨血, 其實是雞血. 並沒有火鍋鴨血的厚度, 雞血吃起來比鴨血更如嫩.
The image of the chicken blood looks like duck’s blood. It is in thin slice shape. The chicken blood tastes much more tender than duck’s blood.

老實說, 價格偏高, 外層酥脆且沒有油耗味, 可惜雞肉內餡相較之下並不是很有特色.
Honestly, the price is bit higher than expected. The appearance is crispy without any annoyed oily flavor. The chicken filling tastes just average.
