“忠南飯館”是 LOUIS VUITTON旅遊指南推薦餐廳之一, 位於台北空軍總部對面, 也就是仁愛路三段和建國北路高架橋附近, 是一家在適合家庭聚會的平價中式料理餐廳.
Many people didn’t know that this restaurant is at LOUIS VUITTON Taipei City Travel Guide. Chungnam Restaurant is located at the opposite side of Taipei Air Force Building, which is near 3rd Section Re-Ai Road and Jianguo North Road (freeway). This restaurant is suitable for family gathering and price-friendly Chinese cuisine restaurant.
雖然店內裝潢較為簡陋, 但排隊人潮不斷, 客人自行看著簡約菜單寫下自己想要的菜餚即可.
Even though the inner design is not trendy, but many people are still willing to line up for dining. Customers would need to write down their wanted dish. The waiter/waitress are only for bring the dishes to the table.

麻婆豆腐
English Name: Mala Tofu

這道菜餚看似簡單且到處都看得到, 但要做到讓饕客稱讚的麻婆豆腐卻不容易. 忠南飯館的麻婆豆腐除了濃厚辣豆瓣醬風味之外, 豆腐則是採用所謂的板豆腐而不是嫩豆腐, 以免烹煮的時候豆腐碎掉. 因為要求多加花椒粉, 讓麻與辣的風味並存, 也多了種家常菜的感覺.
Mala Tofu seemed to be easy and seen in most Chinese restaurants. But, Chungnam Restaurant’s Mala Tofu is quite special since we asked for more Sichuan pepper powders. The tastebuds can feel both numb and spicy flavor at the same time. The tofu is hard tofu instead of silk tofu, so it wouldn’t break while cooking.
黃豆芽
English Name: Spicy Bean Sprout

爽脆的黃豆芽通常都是用來涼拌, 忠南飯館則是用快炒的方式再加入辣醬, 口感依舊爽脆, 也多了辣的風味, 以份量而言, $140/盤算是合理.
Most bean sprout is used for cold dish. But the chef uses stir-fried and add more spicy sauce. The bean sprout’s texture is still crisp as expected. NTD $140/per dish is price-friendly as well.
紅燒獅子頭
English Name: Braised Ground Pork in Ball Shape

三顆紅燒獅子頭藏在滷白菜的下方, 咬下一口獅子頭時, 多汁的程度破表, 但不會過鹹, 且有蔥的提味, 增加更多肉的風味, 可惜當下的滷白菜稍微過軟爛.
Three ball share ground porks are hidden under the braised Chinese cabbage. While biting into the meat, the juicy and meaty flavor is overwhelmed. However, the flavor is not salty and also with green onion flavor. However, the Chinese cabbage is a bit too soft.
炒雪裡紅
English Name: Stir-fried Potherb Mustard

圖片中綠色那盤即是雪裡紅, 跟常見的豆干與肉絲拌炒, 辣椒絲毫沒有被雪裡紅獨特的風味蓋住, 毛豆脆度增加不同層次的口感.
The green dish is the so-called Stir-Fried Potherb Mustard, which is cooked with dried tofu and pork. the spicy flavor doesn’t cover the mustard flavor. The crisp green bean creates different textures for this dish.
黃豆芽湯與飯

除了免費黃豆芽湯外, 也有免費的飯可享用, 有兩種選擇- 蓬萊米口感較Q軟, 在來米則是比較硬並無彈性.雖然每道料理皆有辣的風味, 但因為搭配的食材而有不同風味. Besides the free bean sprouts soup, there is also free rice as well. Almost every dish is spicy. But due to pairing with different ingredients, each dish has its own unique flavor.
