小時候在台灣部落吃傳統筒仔米糕時, 由於烹調方式是用竹筒蒸, 會帶有點竹子的香味, 也較容易吃到鍋吧. “大橋頭筒仔米糕” 則是將滷肉汁入味圓糯米放進蒸籠.
The traditional cooking method would be put the sticky rice into the actual bamboo tube. Therefore, its flavor has hints of bamboo aroma and the rice is usual dried. This restaurant cook the rice with soy sauce inside the steamer.

記憶中的筒仔米糕是有點鍋吧, 內餡有香菇和肉塊, 有些甚至有鹹蛋黃. 此餐廳的筒仔米糕為淺褐色, 深褐色且油亮的五花豬肉放置在上方, 糯米粒粒分明且看似紮實. 品嚐一口原味米糕, 少許五花肉油脂滴入米糕裡, 口感是綿密帶有點油蔥風味, 而非過鹹的乾硬鍋吧.
My impression of “Tube Shape Steamed Sticky rice” is dried and its filling have dried mushroom and diced pork. Some filling even has salty egg yolk. This restaurant offers light brown color sticky rice with dark brown oily pork belly meat on the top. The rice itself is cooked well with a bit of soft texture instead of dried texture.
五花肉並不會因為蒸的時間過長而硬, 而是釋放出更多油脂讓瘦肉部位更加軟嫩, 口感極佳, 肉香味並不會因為淋上店家專屬甜辣醬後而減弱. 米糕內並不沒有其他內餡, 但以NTD$30來衡量, 整體表現極佳.
The pork belly is succulent with fair amount of fats. The texture is tender. With the custom-made sweet-spicy sauce, the meat aroma is still strong. But, there isn’t any other filling. With only NTD$30 price, it is worth a try.

里肌薄豬肉片旁放著1/6的滷蛋切片, 沒有又愛又恨的油脂輔佐, 豬肉片口感偏乾柴, 但滷蛋相當夠味. 但我會建議點“筒仔米糕 – 肥肉”
The sliced pork tenderloin and 1/6 sliced braised egg are placed on the top. Since there isn’t any fat, the meat is dried. I would suggest the pork belly one instead.
