新開幕的BEER SMITH 為台北東區精釀啤酒吧之一, 較為特別的是目前有提供台灣在地“啤酒頭公司”的24節氣精釀啤酒. 這次有這個榮幸可品嚐到餐點與品飲精釀啤酒.
Newly-opened BEER SMITH is one of the Craft Beer Bar at Taipei East District. They offer “Taiwan Head Brewers Brand” Draft Beers collections. I now have the opportunity to try out their dishes and draft beers.

BEER SMITH 跟 COFFEE SMITH 是同一個集團, 台灣啤酒頭公司創造24節氣啤酒, 近期RAW主廚江振誠也研發24節氣菜單, 皆獲得好評, 除了販售24節氣鮮啤外, BEER SMITH 的料理也採用台灣食材.
Beer Smith and Coffee Smith belong to the same corporation. Taiwan Head Brewers brand won many international awards with their 24 Solar terms beers. André Chiang from RAW also creates cuisine regarding the same theme. From this particular inspiration, BEER SMITH would like merge both ideas into one by using local ingredients and offer 24 Solar Terms beers.
窗戶旁有舒適的沙發區, 也有適合一群朋友聊天的長桌, 鮮啤管線一字排開, 店長會照客人喜好而建議啤酒品項, 雖然啤酒頭的精釀啤酒在高級超市都可以買到, 但全部喝過的人不多, 除非是精釀啤酒迷.
Besides the sofa area by the window, there are also long tables for friends’ gatherings. The store manager would offer beer suggestions to you if you have difficulties choosing. Even though this particular brand beers are sold in retail and hyper market. But only a few people tasted all 24 types of beer collections.

直到料理端上桌之前, 我ㄧ直誤以為是薄切培根片, 壓跟也沒想到碳烤培根會是厚切, 碳烤痕跡烙印在培根, 店家採用肥瘦比例適中的豬肉, 油脂軟化了瘦肉部位, 單獨品嚐時並不會過乾. 剝皮辣椒與泡菜取代單調的高麗菜, 此道料理最特別的是除了用台灣米之外, 也加入古早味油蔥元素, 品嚐一口時, 認出了記憶中的懷舊油飯風味, 至於大家最關心的份量夠吃嗎? 女生建議分著吃, 因為還要喝啤酒, 男生的話可以點一份自己吃應該就會六分飽, 其他四分就拿來喝啤酒吧!
Before serving, I always thought their bacon would be thin slice like regular bacon for breakfast. However, their bacon is thick sliced with grilled mark. The taste has smoky flavor. The texture is tender and definitely not dry. The peeled chili, which looks like seaweed, is not overly spicy. The most interesting part would be the flavor of the rice – which pairs with shallots.

盤中的無骨豬肋條肉比骰子Size大一點, 每一口除了有迷人的煙燻風味外, 肉質也紮實, 跟其他豬肉不太一樣, 西班牙國寶伊比利小豬肋條的中間則是偏嫩, 滿滿的鹹甜風味非常適合搭配酒. 身邊有少許人花大錢去飯店吃有骨的伊比利豬肋條套餐, 只是烹飪方式不同, 但肉質相同, 倒不如直接點這道料理, 才$280.
Grilled Iberico Ribs is boneless and the size is bigger than dice. Each bite has the great smoky flavor. The texture is chewy in a good way. People spend a fortune to dine in five-stars hotels or high-end restaurants in order to eat Iberico. I would suggest this dish for people who never try the famous Iberico.

當店家提到菜餚裡也有糯米椒時, 當下其實我不知道糯米椒是哪種椒, 後來上菜時才知道原來糯米椒是Sweet Chili, 在美國BBQ Party 都是拿來當做烤蔬菜, 青綠色且凹凸不平的外型, 視覺上完全搶了花蓮剝皮辣椒的風彩.透抽Q度夠,糯米椒本身沒有辣味, 卻有種特殊辛香, 吃起來相當軟, 會有種在吃乾扁四季豆的錯覺, 剝皮辣椒本身不會過辣, 只會短暫刺激味蕾.
Several bright green sweet chilis, which tastes a bit like green string beans with sweet flavor, are placed on the top of the dish. It is delicious! The squid is cooked well. The peeled chili is not overwhelmed spicy.

這道料理很明顯是以港式點心腐皮捲為主軸, 發揮巧思將鮮蝦與香腸肉包進腐皮卷後油炸, 並不是一般港式餐廳用清蒸. 金黃色酥脆外皮加上鮮脆蝦, 泡菜則是解油膩.
In Cantonese cuisine, this dish is usually steamed. However, Beer Smith fried the Tofu Sheet, which has shrimp and sausage wrapped in it. The crisp appearance with crisp shrimp filling is quite satisfying.

BEER SMITH 的啤酒杯分別是兩種Size, 單點一杯如圖右類似紅酒高腳杯的容量(約380cc), 若試點春夏秋冬四種組合則是用小杯如圖左(約 200cc). 建議點組合, 因為換算後一杯只要NTD $145, 可以喝好喝滿, 跟朋友Share也可以, 若是一個人去也可跟吧台溝通, 喝完一杯再上另一杯, 陸續享受鮮啤.
Beer Smith has two different sizes. The regular size glass, which looks like the wine glass, is about 380 cc. If ordering Beers Sets, four small glass (approx. 200 cc) will be served. I would strongly recommend you and your friends to order beer sets. After calculation, one small glass only cost $145. If you go alone, you can ask the store manager to bring the glass one by one instead of all 4 glasses together.
我跟朋友分別選穀雨, 夏至, 小寒和小暑, 一字排開放在木盤上, 每款鮮啤都相當精彩. “穀雨”最特別, 比利時淺色艾爾 (Belgian Pale Ale) 加入台灣高山烏龍茶, 但兩者並無搶走各自的風采, 濃郁烏龍茶香中藏著蜜香, 辨識度極高, 非常適合不習慣喝苦啤酒的人. “夏至”則是美式小麥啤酒 (American Wheat Beer) , Google後才知道原料裡有來自台中地區的小麥, 形容成“輕盈酒體”似乎會讓初飲者誤會, 但喝起來比其它三款淡, 柑橘風味則是非常明顯.
My friend and I choose Tea Ale, American Taiwan Wheat, Taiwan Chocolate Stout, and Taiwan Jasmine Session Ale. The Tea Ale would be the most interesting product since Taiwan Oolong Tea is added into Belgian Pale Ale. The thick Oolong Tea flavor has hints of sweetness. This particular beer is perfect for first-time drinker. Surprisingly, one of the American Taiwan Wheat beer’s ingredient has wheats from Taichung, Taiwan. The orange peel flavor is a bit obvious, but still lighter than other three beers.
小寒則是我最愛的英式司陶特啤酒(Stout)為基底, 酒體飽滿滑順, 咖啡搭配重烘焙風味頗迷人, 即使原料裡有屏東巧克力, 但整體不會甜, 這款建議其他酒喝完再喝, 因為濃郁存在感會包圍整個味蕾.小暑則是Session Ale,酒花充足帶有點苦澀味, 但尾韻是有清爽度, 且多增加了淡茉莉花香
Taiwan Chocolate Stout is my favorite among four beers. Smooth and creamy beer texture pairing with roasted coffee flavor. Even though the ingredients has Chocolate from Taiwan, it wasn’t sweet. I would suggest that save this beer for the last since the strong flavor impact. Taiwan Jasmine Session Ale is bitter with hints of Jasmine Aroma.
